Hi everyone,

The SANE mailing list (sane-devel) and the anonymous and development CVS servers are currently down because of the security compromise of some Debian servers. See http://www.wiggy.net/debian.xhtml for more details.

While Alioth (the server used by the SANE project) itsself is most probably not affected, ssh acces is disabled so CVS does not work and we can't change the website.

The mailing lists also do not work. The reason for that is yet unknown.

The release of sane-backends will NOT be delayed by that. Please send any last-minute patches to henning@meier-geinitz.de. />
I'll try to reach the developers by private mail.
