# Only one of these two paragraphs will be picked at the last minute
<p>
The Debian project has just reelected Stefano Zacchiroli
for the third time in a row as Debian project leader.
# Only one of these two sentences will be picked at the last minute
Given the large majority towards his opponents, the Debian project is satisfied
of Stefano's previous work, and expects him to represent the project one last
term, since Stefano already declared he won't be seeking reelection next year.
# (some bash-style choice, depending of the actual numbers)
The vote was {really,pretty} close: {Wouter Verhelst,Gergely Nagy}
has also raised a lot of voices among the Debian project members.

# (some bash-style choice, depending of the actual numbers)
<p>
The Debian project has just elected {Wouter Verhelst,Gergely Nagy} as Debian project
leader, who will succeed to Stefano Zacchiroli after two consecutive terms.
{Wouter Verhelst,Gergely Nagy} will start his term on 17 April 2012.
# Only one of these two sentences will be picked at the last minute
The vote was {really,pretty} close: {Wouter Verhelst,Gergely Nagy}
has also raised a lot of voices among the Debian project members.

The current project leader, Stefano Zacchiroli, also raised
many voices among the Debian project members: the vote was
close, but not enough to make it for a third time.

The Debian project thanks Stefano Zacchiroli for the last two
years he committed for the Debian Project, and looks forward for
{Wouter Verhelst,Gergely Nagy} to represent the project for the next year.
# Don't know yet what to say if zack is bashed here, but I'm pretty sure we'll
# be able to find something nasty to say if needed ;-).

<toc-add-entry name="permanentBSP">Personal BSP initiatives</toc-add-entry>
<p>
We usually give information about BSPs where a group of people meet over a weekend,
but today we'd like to mention a personal initiative: Gregor Herrmann has reported

Gerfried Fuchs also regularly reports on stable Release-Critical bugs

We would like to thank Gregor Herrmann, Gerfried Fuchs and all other RC
Bugs addicts who are constantly helping to make our distribution better.

<toc-add-entry name="s390x">The state of Debian s390x</toc-add-entry>

<p>
Philipp Kern gave some information on the <a href="http://debblog.philkern.de/2012/04/state-of-debian-s390x.html">current
state of Debian s390x port</a>. The effort for this port <a
href="http://blog.aurel32.net/59">started last summer, during
DebConf11</a>, and in less than a month it already had almost the 65% of
packages built. Unfortunately, a new glib release created some problems
to this architecture; but finally a <a href="http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/glib2.0/news/20120330T073522Z.html">new
major release of glib</a> fixed all previous issues. The next step for
this port will be to fix <a href="http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?tag=s390x;users=debian-s390@lists.debian.org">open
bugs</a> and try to successfully build Iceweasel.
