Detailed description
When things aren't working well, I would like a little more feedback from the various apps (dvswitch, dvsource...) telling me what is going on.

For instance: /dev/raw1394 was in the disk group, but I wasn't. what I see on the screen was something like
"Connecting to 1.2.3.4:20000"
and when it doesn't connect, I conclude it's a network problem.

I am not expecting to be told what the problem is, but I think a --verbose option that spewed stuff would probably help me know where to look.

For dvswitch, when there is a mismatch (pal/ntsc, or 32/48k, or whatever) having it tell me the values that don't match would be good. I was told "mismatch" and thought "I bet it is audio, I know I want 48 everywhere, I wish I knew which device to look at."

I don't think it's a big enough problem that lots of time should be spent on it, so I'll leave it up to the coders to figure out what can be done that is fairly simple and all.
